Bose QuietComfort Ultra Headphones
We got a new Bose product, the QuietComfort Ultra. Bose products, dating all the way back to the original noise-canceling headphones that really changed the industry, led us to the previous 700 series. The 700 series moved a little away from that original classic Bose design that you see at airports and on airplanes, especially among travelers who need to block out sounds such as babies crying, chatter in a cafe, and other surrounding noises.
Bose QuietComfort Headphones History
Now, Bose has changed with the times and is staying up to date by including features like spatialized audio, which provides head-tracking awareness. There is also a transparent mode that allows you to hear your surroundings. The Ultra model is not the only model, as Bose is still making the QuietComfort. This cool green color is also available.
Design and Features
The Ultra model is swept away by sound, with every dynamic guitar riff and soft-spoken lyric. Turn up the music or silence the world with Snapdragon Sound.
We’re looking at 24 hours of battery life or 18 hours with immersive audio. Press play, pause, and control the rest. It comes with a familiar travel case, a nice little hard-shell carrying case. These headphones are lighter than some of the other flagship options available.
They have a cushioned headband, a sliding adjustment, USB-C charging, an LED, and an analog audio jack. There’s probably a cable here, and it looks like it’s a 2.5 mm to 3.5 mm cable. Everything stays packed in here.
There are big labels for right and left, and you can see the angular design that plays a role alongside the immersive audio experience, which they’re calling spatialized audio. It gives you a soundstage that feels like it is somewhere at arm’s length. It moves the sound by knowing the location of your head and simulates the experience of sitting in front of a performance.
What Are the Pros of Bose QuietComfort Ultra Headphones?
- Great build quality
- Comfortable to use
- Excellent noise isolation performance
What Are the Cons of Bose QuietComfort Ultra Headphones?
- The passive soundstage performance is not good.
Build Quality

The quality of its building materials is excellent. That’s why the long-lasting performance of these headphones is great. The reason behind their great build quality is the combination of different materials, such as aluminum, plastic, and leather.
This combination makes the headphones comfortable, sturdy, and durable. The leather on the headband and ear pads also gives them stability, but the downside is that it can come off with continuous use.
Comfort

These headphones are designed to feel comfortable. The thick padded headband and earcups provide good comfort.
Their design is also similar to the previous model. The earcups are smooth, so they do not rub against the ears.
Availability of Colors
Bose QuietComfort Ultra Headphones are available in three different colors: black, sandstone, and white smoke.
We have tested all the models. All the models are of great value and look attractive because of their colors.
Portability
Bose QuietComfort Ultra Headphones are over-ear headphones, so they are not considered the most portable headphones. However, the earcups can be laid flat by swiveling them, which helps save space when carrying or storing them.
Stability
The stability of these headphones is quite good, but they can fall off your head during strong movements.
However, they stay fixed on your ears while you are sitting at rest. That’s why the stability is good but not the best.
Sound Quality

The sound quality of the Bose QuietComfort Ultra Headphones is similar to that of the previous models. The sound of instruments and vocals is veiled in such a way that it is considered treble roll-off.
For different sound quality, a companion app is also available. It provides a graphic EQ that allows you to adjust the sound according to your requirements.
Noise Isolation
The noise isolation of the Bose QuietComfort Ultra Headphones is great. Noise isolation is one of those features that a great brand of headphones cannot neglect.
This feature prevents noise from coming through the ear pads and reaching the ears of the listener. The ANC feature works great by adjusting the noise from the surroundings according to your needs.
Different modes are also available in the companion app, so you can customize the noise cancellation settings according to the surrounding environment. That’s why this feature is considered one of the great features of these headphones.
Recording Quality
Recording quality is also an important factor to consider when buying headphones.
The sound is recorded through the mic present on the headphones. The recording quality is great and delivers clear sound with good quality and clarity.
Battery
The battery life of these headphones is also a great feature. The battery life of the Bose QuietComfort Ultra is 24 hours after charging, but after testing these headphones, we noticed that the battery life is actually 29 hours.
These headphones cannot be used passively like the previous models. That’s why you can use them by connecting a wire.
